Debra Logan
Debra graduated from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in 1977, one of the first Redken Tricho Analysis accredited Cosmetology Institutes in the USA. Immediately, she joined the team of Leslie Bryner, one of the most acclaimed U.S stylist of the time. Her move to San Diego in 1979 spurred her relentless pursuit for knowledge in the hair industry and lead her to attend and complete courses at the Advanced Haircutting Academies of Vidal Sassoon, Aveda, Tony and Guy Academy, Jingles International including other educational trade shows and countless training programs associated with product knowledge.
Debra is certified in multiple straightening and retexturing services and is quite knowledgeable with the different types of hair texture, density and growth patterns that make hairdressing challenging. Her years of experience allows her the acknowledgment of Master Stylist.
October 2018, Debra bought out her partner of 15 years and has transformed Kensington Park Salon into a new and unique neighborhood salon that welcomes all of San Diego.

Gia Kengott
Gia was born and raised in San Diego. After graduating, she attended the highly acclaimed Paul Mitchell School in downtown San Diego in 2008. The school offers extensive training in cutting, color, texture, styling, skin and nails. After receiving her license, she began demanding assistant program training under a highly successful and talented local stylist. After several years, Gia was up and running on her own. Living and working in Kensington, she now has a successful business specializing in cutting, color and smoothing treatments. Gia is a most valued member of our salon.

Kim Smith
Kim Smith was born in Los Angeles and moved to San Diego in 1981. Kim received her cosmetology license here in San Diego in 1989. She soon moved to San Francisco and apprenticed for over two years at a major high-end hair salon and gained a reputation for hip, cutting edge hair styling. In 1991, Kim moved back to San Diego and made a name for herself in the industry showing off her talents on countless clients. Her energy and ability to connect with a varied cliental makes her a special and unique addition to the salon.

Mayra Lyzette Zavala
"May" graduate Paul Mitchell The School in 2008. May has specialized as a teaching instructor in the beauty industry representing several professional lines. Sharing her hands-on experience and instructional knowledge with her students May gained additional skills that continue to serve her and her clients well in the salon setting. In addition, her command of the Spanish language adds to her ability to communicate to a larger clientele.
Being a Teacher of the Art has allowed May to evolve into a major Hair Colorist / Stylist. Working with several well-known color lines and expanding her knowledge constantly with classes and on-line training, Kensington Park Salon is honored to have May as a part of our Team. She is certified and specializes in hair color and Hair Extensions among many other services offering creative choices for her clients to have the hair they dream of.
